Hi Megan, you really did a great job with this post – a lot of details and looks like nothing has escaped you!

I enjoy reading about Sookie Stackhouse’s adventures, and I’ve read all of the books in the series. I’m not crazy about the HBO show, maybe because it doesn’t follow the books too closely. I’ve met the author (Charlene Harris), during the book #13 signing in Seattle and I was very impressed with her. She mentioned that she is not the one who writes the scripts for the show, thus the discrepances.

Ooops, fast fingers, sorry. I meant “discrepancies” 🙂

I’m so happy you read my post and liked it. I was going to stop doing a True Blood post this week since no one left a response.

I’m glad your a Sookie Stackhouse fan. I know a lot of people who like the show but not the books. I agree with you about the tv show. I wish they kept more true to the books. I was really sad when they killed off Claudine. Do you have a favorite book in the series?

Thanks so much for your posts. It has been awhile since I read the books, so there have been times where I couldn’t remember if that happened in the book or not. I am waiting to see if they will loosely follow the storyline of Debbie Pelt, and introduce Sandra Pelt, or if they are going to skip by that!! Now that I have found this site, I was be checking it out so I can get the comparisions. Keep up the great work!!

Kelly, You made my day. Thank you so much for saying that you like the True Blood posts. I’m also looking forward to learning more about Sookie and her family in the next book. I liked how Charlaine Harris didn’t tell us everything about Sookie and her family from the first book. I like authors that keep me guessing on the ending. You have a good attitude about the show. Is there anything that they have changed in the show that you really don’t like or that you do like?

Oh, and I do like the show, as long as I keep in mind that it is very loosely based on the books. I usually have to stop myself from saying…”That’s not in the book” I actually just finished reading the latest one Dead Reckoning. I enjoyed learning a little more about Sookie’s family, and the fairies. She is really laying the groundwork for the next one!!
